EventLab is designed to help teams plan, map, and coordinate event operations. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently and securely.
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We may collect information that you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use our Services, and information from third parties.
Information you provide may include your name, email address, organisation name, job title, account credentials, contact information, and any other information you choose to provide when using EventLab.
You may also upload content including maps, files, images, documents, equipment lists, schedules, notes, and other event-related data. This content is stored and processed to provide the functionality of the Services.
Automatically Collected Information
When you use EventLab, we may automatically collect certain information including device information, IP address, browser type, operating system, app version, usage data, crash logs, performance data, and interactions with features.
This information helps us improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
Location Information
EventLab may request access to location information when you use mapping or GPS-based features. Location data is used to improve map accuracy, position objects, or enable location-based functionality.
Location access is optional and controlled through your device settings. You can disable location permissions at any time.
Files, Photos, and Camera Access
EventLab may request permission to access your device’s files, photos, or camera to allow you to upload documents, images, maps, or scan codes. We only access this information when you explicitly choose to upload or use these features.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website and web application to maintain sessions, remember preferences, analyze usage, and improve the Services.
You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect functionality.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to provide, operate, and maintain the Services, authenticate users, enable collaboration, improve features, monitor performance, fix technical issues, communicate updates, provide customer support, and ensure security.
We may also use information to analyze usage trends and improve the overall user experience.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist in operating the Services, including hosting providers, analytics providers, authentication services, and infrastructure providers.
These providers only access information necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect your data.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, protect our rights, prevent fraud, or respond to legal requests.
Data Storage and Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission, secure infrastructure, authentication controls, and role-based access permissions.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
You may request deletion of your account or data at any time.
Account Deletion and Data Deletion
If you created an EventLab event-access account through the mobile app using a PIN or QR code, you can delete your account directly in the app by going to Settings > Privacy > Delete Personal Data.
Deleting your account removes your personal data associated with that event-access account. We may retain limited non-identifying audit and security records where required for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.
If you need help with deletion, or if your account type does not support in-app deletion, you can contact us at hello@event-lab.io.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, update, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. You may also request data portability where applicable.
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact information below.
Third-Party Services
EventLab may use third-party services to support functionality, including hosting providers, analytics providers, error monitoring tools, authentication services, and communication tools.
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
Children’s Privacy
EventLab is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child, we will take steps to remove it.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you consent to these transfers where permitted by law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website and within the Services. Continued use of EventLab after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
